Fareport was devised as a medium sized O gauge layout to display and run O gauge diesels with DCC fitted sound.
The name for the layout came from my good friend Brian who suggested using FARE and PORT as we live in the Fareham and Gosport area.
The track is from the standard PECO range with some detail alterations to suit some scratch built buildings have been added to the layout as well as using laser cut products and building kits to improve detail and appearance. The layout is controlled via a NCE DCC System which has proved to be really reliable.
All locomotives have had detailing added and are fitted with sound decoders from Zimo when funds permit and weathering by Grimey Times.
