N Gauge layout set in an imaginary location somewhere in Scotland, as featured in Model Rail Magazine August 2021.
The layout is based on a rural station somewhere in Scotland. The station has a passing loop and limited freight facilities. Trains frequently pass here, and the layout can be operated in the steam/green diesel, BR Blue or Scotrail eras. Kinlochlaggen is operated entirely by DCC control handset and does not have a control panel. Constructed of two lightweight baseboards the layout can be assembled and fully stocked in an hour to an hour and a half.
